common, white house & assata shakur
the right does what we expect them to do. any tactics, any vile method necessary. In the moral center we remain calm. their bombs can't touch us, God is with us.

this lovely morning
sitting here this lovely morning with the world on my mind. bin laden's dead, i don't really know how i feel about that. gas prices are to the sky, wars around the globe, i know how i feel about that. the book of freshman year has reached its epilogue, i'm sad about that. summer's pages are blank awaiting our words. let us write our lives together. if we run out of ink, we'll use our love. the world is spiraling out control, i'll be your anchor if you return the favor. i see the light in very few i encounter, so we must illuminate the way for our siblings. we are burdened with that duty, but would you have it any other way? these are the first words of summer's pages, inspired and dedicated to you. lets go world. ! ood

narcissus
but why, O foolish boy,
so vainly catching at this flitting form?
the cheat that you are seeking has no place.
avert your gaze and you will lose your love,
for this that holds your eyes is nothing save
the image of yourself reflected back to you.
it comes and waits with you; it has no life;
it will depart if you will only go...

ulanowicz
i was fortunate enough to listen to and converse with author of this book, a man of amazing insight and calming wisdom. science and faith are not at war. both have a place in the strange and mysterious reality we call life.
